Randomness

Hi, sorry I haven't updated in FOREVER, the Internet was down all yesterday. =-(

Swimming on Thursday was GREAT because we didn't do any hard stuff- we just did drills and stuff, only 50s and we didn't need the clock, which was awesome, because I hadn't been to practice for like, two weeks before then. And yesterday the only thing we did was dryland, warm up and then we played SHARKS AND MINNOWS the entire time. It was amazing. But we had to do wall sits, and I hate wall sits. And when we were playing S&M Dave made it a rule that you could drag people up to the surface. As you can imagine (if you know how the game works) it was really quite painful because that game the guys were the Sharks. Collin, John and Juan (this weird freaky guy) all decided to show up on the same day, and it was really violent and annoying because there were only six Minnows, and all three guys would drag one person up each round. But besides that, it was really fun, cause Sydnie was there, but she had to leave early. =-(

And Ms. Chea sent out a huge email today! But it's really sad, because Ms. Chea was really nice and cool. And I kinda want school to start really soon, because I can't wait to see everyone. And I really wanna we in tons of classes with everybody, and I want to know which teachers I'm gonna have...... It's NOT fair, because my cousin in Norway gets a class list and knows which teacher he's gonna get for the next year at the end of the school year, so he gets to know all summer.

And I'm also really excited for San Diego, because the Yans are going the same week as us, and I've only seen them once in TWO YEARS (because "Auntie" Alice has been so sick and "Uncle" Jerry's dad was also really sick, and sad stuff like that) and they're really good friends, and I've known then since, forever, really. So yeah. And we recently saw the Sanders and the Tus, and it was really fun, because Leana and Alison are really good friends, and Rachel is SO BIG now (she's 8, I think).

And soooooo many people are in mission trips in Uganda now, the Chinens, the Morgans, the Barthels, FOCus people...... It's kinda sad, because a lot of my church friends are gone and stuff, and I'm gonna be in San Diego with Uncle Dave (ugh. I don't really LOVE my uncle all that much....) the week they get back. AND ECLIPSE IS COMING OUT IN TWO DAYS ON AUGUST 7!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait. The other day (because Oma decided to randomly send me a $50 gift card in the mail) I went to Barnes & Noble and bought Twilight. And a ton of girls at Westminster Woods were reading Twilight. So yeah. I'm excited. Something to look forward to. And I checked out this great book at the library, but it's really short, so I finished it really soon. I really like the writer's style of writing. (The book's The Fruit Bowl Project)

And I babysat for Keiko and Ethan on Thursday and Monday I'm babysitting a little girl on my old block. And the house passed an inspection, so they're starting to work on putting the subfloor and insulation in, and there's part of a wall up! Hopefully it'll be built soon.

Writing Camp's OVER

I'm sooooo sad!! I had so much fun there, and made a ton of friends, and now it's over and I won't see a lot of them again. =-( It's only been out for less than an hour, but I miss everyone already, like Justine and her Kingdom Hearts OBSESSION, and Claire and Jack's flipping-each-other-off-across-the-room and staring contests. But I won't miss Alex's annoying flirting with all the girls.

And on Tuesday NOBODY was at swimming, except for these two weird high school guys. And it was sad, because I could swim faster than them when we were sprinting, but then we did distance work, and I HATE distance swimming. I suck at it. And the intervals were too fast for me, so I've been tired and sore ALL week.

And Wednesday, we had the poetry reading at Cody's! And it wasn't that bad (like Syd kept telling me) and I had fun, and my anthology is PRETTY, because I decorated every single page. And it's better looking than Jack's. So there.

HARRY POTTER 7 IS OUT IN A WEEK!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!! Harry's totally gonna die. Everybody knows that. But it comes out the day before the day that Maddie Z and I leave for that camp, so I only have a day to read it, but I'll probably get to finish it anyways. =-D

Heather's back! But she's only a leader, and Mat's gone, so it's kinda cool, cause everybody thinks that she's in charge, and she's not. And my team had the BEST hiding spot for Capture the Flag, even though I HATE that game.

Oh, and I have to email Jerry, and tell him that I can't do RESL, cause I'll be gone, and he won't believe me, and my mom'll have to tell him that I really can't. And Annette wants to have a SLEEPOVER with her friend. She's 6! She's probably gonna call at 10 asking to go home again. =-) And my dad's gonna be in Amsterdam because of work the week I'm gone.

HAIRCUT

I got a haircut today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And now it's SOOOOOOOOOOOO short! I think it's 4 in. shorter. I LOVE IT! =-D And the teacher at my writing camp loves the short story I wrote and wants to keep a copy as an example next year! So today's a good day. =-)

But- Helen Wong's moving to China!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =-'( She's soooo nice, and I talk to her alot, and she doesn't like Ms. Lamson! (She had her, too.) So today's her last practice, so I'm definitely going.

July 4th

Happy almost July 4th everybody!!!! Hope you have an awesome time and stuff (I'm going to a house of an old family friend that owns like 4 houses in Oakland and Piedmont. XP)

Tomorrow my mom and I are going to be helping out in the booths at this July 4th thing that the Gators are responsible for, and I think that Kenny's mom is gonna be there because our moms were talking about the parent's meeting that they had and all that fun stuff! And so far this week I haven't had to go to practice, but I think I have to go Thursday....

And yesterday I went to see Ratatouille! It was good, but part of it was sooooo cliched.

And Jake, Andrea, and Charis came over for dinner last night and he had a ton of fun together. I haven't see Charis in FOREVER [when I was in 5th grade], and the last time I saw Jake and Andrea was over a year ago. But I saw Josh (who isn't in CA) just before the end of the school year and Paul's flying in tomorrow night, so I'll see all of them except Josh in Sunday @ church.

I'm listening to Umbrella (on Sydney's blog) and now I think it's gonna be stuck in my head all day. =-)

Sooooooo sooooooooooo sooooooooooooooo soooooooooooooooo bored!!!!!!!!!! And EJ keeps annoying me. Grrrrr. X-P And Travis and Chris were freaking me out on Tuesday [don't ask. Really, don't]. And I MISS EVERYONE!!!!!!

And oh my gosh!!!!!!!! ANDREA, CHARIS, AND JACOB FLEW IN LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're staying at the Mowat's cause they're on this road trip thingy. But they're staying for like, 6 days. So they won't be here for long. =-(

And I got an email from Maddie J. today. She got an email account! Yay. Finally. =-) So at least I won't miss her SO much, cause I can email her now.

Now I'm listening to Thanks for the Memories by Fall Out Boy. I dunno why, but I really like this song.

Swim practice today, so I'll probably see Travis and Chris again. It was so funny yesterday when Sydnie, Rebecca and I were pretending not to know them yesterday. Going to practice again today, but I've had this major stomach ache all day, so I might not. Depends on my Mom, who isn't home yet.

Summer @ the Park today. Can't wait because I haven't seen ANYBODY all week from FPCB, because I didn't get to do VBS this year. ='-( And Lexie's moving up to high school.

Yesterday Lucy and I were on Neopets and we were playing Cheat! [I love that game. It's so easy and fun. And in 5th grade, EVERYONE in my class played BS.] and it took 30 seconds to load the new windows and it was boring. I think Lucy's computer hates her more than mine hates me (Remember, Syd?) because it worked fine for Calvin.

I need to send out the Massive Email soon. Sometime. Soon, hopefully. I miss all you guys soooooo much!!!!!!!

I might have to go to a Meet in Sunnyvale or something on the 6th. And I REALLY DON'T WANT TO. But I might've missed the registration date. =-D

At my camp we made origami shirts to put poetry on. And we have to do a reading at the end to the 3 weeks. And I really hate reading my work out loud to people. I don't like people reading my work AT ALL. And I really hate having to read it out loud.

People need to get on Meebo!!! But I have to get off at 1.

Oh, and Shing and I both got these freaking comments by this Rodrigo dude (or something like that) in Spanish (I think) about customized shirts). I'm guessing it's just one of those random computer generated ads that people put on blogs. Or it's some type of joke that Kenny or Kai did.

I fell really sorry for the people who live in Tahoe because some of them might have to be evacuated soon.=-(

Memorial Park

Went to Memorial Park today and yesterday (babysitting) and it still says Chynna <3 Kai! And all those scribbles that Juneyoung or somebody made. You kinda can't read it, though. =-(

Went to swimming yesterday and Sydnie, Rebecca, Kelly, and Kenny were there. But Kenny was being really mean to everyone. And Jerry's making me do ALL the events on Sunday! Which sucks, because I have to do 50 breast and I'm soooooo slow at breaststroke. It's a fun meet, cause it's postseason, so we can do 50s! [Which is GREAT.]


I've been really bored all week, babysitting and playing video games. And I miss everybody!

SO SORRY I haven't updated in FOREVER

Friday was the last day of school!!!! It's sooooooooo sad! =-'( I'm only gonna see some of my friends; my FPCB friends and Kenny, Rebecca, and Sydnie, and Paige, if she goes to Gators.
And Travis went to Solano with us. That was not cool. And now Pia and I kinda wanna know what Conner and Kevin were talking about.

But overall it was really fun Friday! And we totally should've started doing MASH a little earlier. We went to Jamba Juice and then got lunch and went to Memorial Park. And I'm gonna send out that massive email to everybody soon (in July).

Finally figured out how to use Meebo, which is good, cause then I can talk to people through AIM. But Syd, Grace, and I were having SO MANY ISSUES Thursday w/ the group chat thingy. =-)


Swim practice on Wednesday was SO fun! Originally, Sydnie, Rebecca, Kenny, Paige, and I were all together in lane 8, but Jerry moved Kenny and I to lane 7. But we did lots of kicking and we all went slow so we could talk.


Tomorrow I'm gonna start babysitting Ben, which should be fun, because he's just gonna play w/ Eliot the whole time.


And I already miss ALL my friends!! I mean, yeah, it's only been a few days, but I really miss all of you. But I'm not gonna post a fricking list of everyone.

Swimming

Went to practice today. Kenny tried out and made As (he said he'd try to make Bs..... I think him mom made him), so we were swimming and stuff- then we saw Clio.

She's on Bs. (I just realized that I've talked a lot about swimming recently. =-) I'm about as swimming obsessed as Grace is track obsessed. ) SO, anyways, Jerry was correcting her freestyle cause before she got in the pool (this was WAY before her practice started, she spent nearly thirty minutes sitting in a chair doing nothing). So, later, Kenny was like, "I know which one's Clio!" and he points that this short kid thrashing around in the water. I think they were attempting to do butterfly. I'm not sure. I asked him "Why do you think that's Clio?"

"They're sorta short and they can't swim." It was sooo funny!!!

And today in Drama we were watching Whose Line is it Anyways? And there was this clip.... I refuse to talk about it. It was NASTY. And all the guys eyes start bulging and their mouths fall open. Some start laughing. It was worse than the part in Dead Poets Society and the guys pull out that poster (the guys LOVED that).

And later Al was like, "There's nothing wrong with liking it. I actually kinda liked it." I almost gagged.

Gators

And Becca and Sydnie are on Gators!! They're As too, so I'll have some people who are my age on the team besides Dannie and Holly (and Laura). Jackie's really nice, but she's 3 years older than me. And Holly almost never come.

I guess Kenny and maybe Seido'll start swimming again soon, but they're Bs and Kenny, who could probably make As, wants to say in the Bs cause he's really lazy.

Drama Monologue

I REALLY don't want to do that Drama thing tomorrow! I haven't even STARTED to memorize- I know maybe, 5 or 6 lines. And I need to know it by TOMORROW! This really sucks.


I think basketball season for St. Jerome is over, which is bad, because then Laura will start showing up at swimming nearly every day. Darn. But I don't have to go to practice today because my mom can't give me a ride.


ACC was really fun! And we all love Susan! =-) She's the BEST.... The ropes course was interesting- I didn't go. And Mat just doesn't understand that I'm kinda scared to heights. "Church office" is really funny (NO PURPLE) but there aren't that many episodes. And I ALMOST bought a Skillet CD in the book store, except it was only a demo and I couldn't buy it. =-(


The demo people used 6,000 gallons of water when they tore down the house, and now the lot's completely waterlogged. You can jump or walk on it and the ground ripples. It's kinda freaky and cool at the same time.


Finally read The Last Days and I keep on thinking of "nine kinds of...".

I still need to do the Spanish hw that was due on Friday. =-) Grace and I kept on "forgetting it at home"....... I really hate Spanish homework.


Drama today was fun. We started watching The Dead Poets Society, which I've heard was really good before today, but we only got to see 30-something minutes of it so I'm no exactly sure what the plot is yet.


Swim practice today, tomorrow, and Thursday. Tomorrow 23 comes, and maybe Remy, but he'll definitely be there Thursday, sadly. Today wasn't so bad, we did pretty mellow stuff. And Jackie's back!! =-) because track season for CPS is over (they didn't make it to NCS). And Colter attempted to flirt with her before practice. I wonder if he'll get Andrew to ask her out again (he's done that quite a few times, actually....)


Three tests today. I think I screwed up on the first part of part B on the history test, and I thought I messed up on the second part of the Science test, but Ms. Lamson showed me what I got on that after she finished grading it (I got minus zero for that part) so today wasn't that bad.


Today at lunch people started playing Zap, and then Veronica- well, Grace wrote what Veronica told her to, zapped me with SEIDO! (and someone zapped June young with 5 different girls, me, Grace, and somebody else...... Veronica zapped Kai with Jennifer, but he wouldn't ask her out.) And then before Science Rylan found out. Oh great. So then Sebastien started whispering (in the middle of the test) "Joanne, Seido completes you.", "Seido, Joanne completes you.", "Joanne, you complete Seido.", "Seido, you complete Joanne." and all that kind of crap and I got really annoyed at both him and Rylan.

Drama

I know I probably already told you guys, but everyone says I didn't really well on my Drama thingy!! (I think it sucked, and I skipped a line) But it really wasn't that bad. The good thing is that my partner annoys me, so I didn't have to pretend to be really mad.... =-)


Small groups tonight, can't wait! And Remy decided not to show up at swimming today, so it wasn't that bad, because Peter left early, and Robbie wasn't there. And Rylan was annoying at school, but Saskia was there.

Whispers in the Dark

I think I've listened to it at least 15 times today. I really like that song. And Rebirthing.. They're both really good. P.O.D. and Pillar are pretty good, but I think Pillar's another genre.


Remy decided to show up at Swimming today, and it was really annoying, but he wasn't in my lane; I was with Amanda and Danielle. Amanda's unnaturally fast, and my foot kept cramping up...... Ha ha, Laura likes Colter! [And Jared and Ethan and Max, and pretty much anyone on JV/Gauchos/Gators who's at least 2 years older than her.] And Colter's really scared of her now. O crap. Tomorrow's Wednesday, which means that she'll be at practice tomorrow.


P.E. today really didn't make ANY sense. Really. And Mr. Gann said he'd run a lap because he made us do this retarded thing but he didn't! So it wasn't fair. Kai looked like an idiot when he put his backpack up his sweatshirt to be Louis the Fat.

In Drama I got an A! =-) (For knowing my lines) I was soooo nervous at lunch and then Kai decided to steal my script so I couldn't really practice and he wrinkled it, too. My partner wants to do lushka so we're going tomorrow. And I'm gonna screw up REALLY badly, but it's lushka which means he'll go easier on us. Thank goodness.


Rylan was impossible today! Saskia left early =-( and he didn't get anything that we were doing so I had to help him and he and Simon drove each other crazy all afternoon. He calls me Googly now and it's annoying.

La de da da da

Swimming again today. Oh joy. Thank the Lord we had a really mellow day yesterday because there was only 10 or 12 people tops. But a lot of people show up on Thursdays, including Remy. Again, oh joy. I can't wait.


Japan Report due tomorrow. I only have 3/4 done. Some people aren't even halfway finished; but I did do all of the Ch. 14 work, instead of only going through to 14.5. At least tomorrow's back to normal, though STAR testing isn't that bad.


And I can see why Lilia said that we were immature. We put Kai's bangs up in a ponytail that stood up straight and Joun Young had two pigtail of the top of his head. They both looked like Emily, Grace's little sister. It was pretty funny, but we couldn't convince them to run at the track meet like that.

Kenny is being v.v.v.v.v.v.v. annoying today, but our moms were there, so I couldn't do anything....

Okay, so after swim practice I was sitting on the edge of the pool, talking to Danielle, and Albany was there because they don't have blocks and there's this major meet coming up.......

And Kenny and Conner were there, so I said Hi to Kenny and was talking to Danielle and Kenny said: "Oh my God! It's Joanne! You're a . For a second I thought you were a guy... Oh crap." I had a cap on, but most guys don't wear caps (Ethan and Max are VERY special people).
Later on Danielle and I were wandering around, she was looking for a friend of hers, so I went to talk to Kenny and AGAIN he thought I was a guy. I was really pissed, but my mom and Dorise were right there, so I couldn't slap him or anything. And today in Spanish he spelled "pescado" "PISSGATO". It was hilarious.


Today (and yesterday) was SOOOOOOOO hot! I really hated it, because Sydney and I had P. E. right after lunch (grrrrrrrr I really pigball. It sucks, and me being short does NOT help), and, as you guys know, our P. E. uniform is BLACK. I really love cold weather. So much fun. Also, Sydney was on another team, with Chloe...... so I couldn't complain about our being short to her. There were too many tall people on the other team. And there was a BREEZE around 3:00. Only an hour and a half too late.


And I'm kinda annoyed that everyone thinks that Seido and I would be cute together. It's getting really old and did you see him and Joun Young at the end of lunch?! (I know they're not gay, but still.)


This week in swimming we're "going to end our two week taper (here is when you hear everyone starts swearing and saying oh crap), and are going to go really strong, until NCA (or whatever it's called). Next week we're going really mellow, because Sunday around 5:00 we find out people's times." Oh goody goody. Can't wait. And tomorrow's Wednesday, which means that Laura's going to be there. I pray Remy won't.

And I got Tessa to listen to Skillet!!! They're an awesome band, and I think that it's the only Christian band she likes (besides Jennifer Knapp and Jars of Clay, maybe JoC......)

La la la la la

Yes, Remy is that weird ten year old kid who has a "girlfriend". Apparently he tried to get my friends Holly and Danielle to kiss him the other day; he's psycho. And surprisingly, I am not a member of the I Have Remy Club. I think Laura would join..... if she knew about it, but I don't think that Colin and Peter (the founders) would allow her to join.

Today in Science, Seido and I were talking, and then all of a sudden Rylan screamed out that Seido and I would look cute together. The thought is just SO . And then he convinced Craig that we should go out, and they spent most of the period begging us to go out because we would win "Cutest Couple of the Year" (Besides Lily and Rylan, of course. Rylan said it, not me. I'm just directly quoting him.....). I doubt such a thing exists in AMS. There is "Biggest Flirt" which Rylan would DEFINITELY win.
Then they both proceeded to talk for 20 minutes how much I look like Kristel. Craig earlier in the year would not shut up about how similar our hair is, and now he's started up again. I sit across from Rylan and now I'm beginning to think that he'll never shut up or stop trying to tell me what to do (besides nagging me about Seido and Kristel, he lectured me on how I should date, and that "once you go out with somebody, you start seeing the world differently.") I kid you not. I think there was something wrong with him today.

Besides that, today was an okay day. My back still hurts from when Malia ran into me and hit a bone. In math we got NO TIME to do our homework, so I have to go a do that now. ::Sighs:: We're playing pigball in P.E. and I really tall people now..... The whole wear-your-shirt-backwards "club" is really retarded.

Swim Practice

No SCHOOL TODAY!! It was AWESOME.


Went to practice today. Amanda and George's birthdays were passed recently, so we forced them to jump into the pool and swim a lap. Fully clothed, shoes, jackets, all that sort of jazz (Gator/Gaucho tradition). Amanda, poor girl, hadn't changed into her suit under her clothes before she jumped in, so she had to change back into her soaking clothes after practice. And George.... is annoying. Cal and Jerry said that I didn't have to jump in. =-)

And today George brought three REALLY cute dwarf hamsters (the ECHS biology labs have some, and George volunteered to take care of them for a week, and as Colter said, 'Poor hamsters. Having to put up with George for a week.') And they were soooooooooooooo soft and I held one for a second.

And the grossest part of today was that Remy tried to hit on me. It was really gross and Andrew and Colin said they'd strangle him in the locker rooms. Might a sideaffect of him not taking his medication for a while (I'm joking, of course, but he was a bit off today... jumping up and down, shrieking, screaming illegible things, splashing Holly, Danielle and I more than often.)

New Layout

Ok, so I know Sydney loves the new layout, but tell me what you think! And I need a better blog title, mine's pretty lame right now.......


Can you believe that Gabe doesn't know what "clique" means?! Grace, Kenny, and I were talking about stuff during Spanish and Gabe was like, "Dude, what are you talking about? Why won't you tell me? Just because you're Asian doesn't mean that you can't tell me. You guys are so racist!"
And I said, "No, we're not racist, we're cliquish."
And then he asked me what a clique was! He had to ask Kristel....


Doing silly outline for Japan Report. And I added tons of new stuff to my blog stuff.... =-) I really like the new layout.


And Scott Westerfeld has a new book coming out soon!!!! And Max Ride 3's coming out soon, and ECLIPSE!!! Not to mention HPDH in July. Summer is such a happy summer [I usually prefer Winter, but this summer is going v.v.v. happy.] Also, I'm signed up for a writing camp this summer @ AMS sponsored by UC Berkeley, for three weeks. I'm so totally excited, cuz I just love to write.... as most of you know.


Hawk Nelson is coming to Modesto on August 28!!!!!!!!!! And my b-day is really very soon. I think I'm becoming more of a Relient K freak now. Their new album came out in March, and I was totally obsessed fifth grade-December of 2006. The song "Forgiven" on the new album is one of their best songs!!!!!

I went to swim practice today, and I was so tired I felt like fainting halfway through. I really didn't feel like swimming today, but there's no practice tomorrow because there's a meet there and I really don't wanna time for them, and Thursday's TAKE YOUR KID TO WORK DAY, so I won't be at school then. It's also Open House, and I actually quite surprised that the teachers have barely mentioned it, in Cornell and last year the teachers were going insane over getting ready for it. Some of them haven't even mentioned it.

Easter/Modesto

I wore a pink skirt and jacket-thingy on Easter. Yes, pink. Thank goodness for the white shirt, or else I'd've been ALL pink! ::Shudders:: The outfit was pretty cute (yes, Jenna, I agree with you on that.....) But I was wearing it! Anyways, it was only one day. And a couple million pictures.... ugh. Pictures. Evidence.

And turns out that Cole, Peter, and Jack are going, and possibly Taylor. To Modesto. I'm praying that Abby, not Peter, is the one going, but maybe both. It's not gonna be all that fun if Catherine and those 8th grade guys go. But I guess I'll live. But it'll be FUN. !!

On a HAPPY note, TODAY'S SYDNEY'S BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! Yay!! And mine's in 18 days. So I'm really happy and bouncy. But I have to go to swimming, and that's not very fun. Because I don't think Holly or Laura is going........ Wait! It's BREAK! Yay. So maybe Laura'll be there. And I need to talk to Colin about Remy's "girlfriend".

And I got Presidental!! Pretty surprised I made it on the Shuttle Run and Push-Ups. I hate push ups. Really really hate hate hate hate them.

Remy Clarification

Ok, so someone *coughtessacough* wasn't exactly sure who Remy was, so, in case anybody else was wondering......
Remy's on my swim team. He's ten, and has a "girlfriend" he's never met. I'm like, .5 o an inch taller than him. Less than that, actually. Kinda sad, huh? And he's going to JO. It's not fair!! Like me, he's a backstroker. Oh yea! Backstroke is the best stroke there it. NOT troke, Laura!! =-]
So anyways, Remy IS NOT Remus Lupin. But they do have the same initals......and it is common in FF for Remus' nickname, not including Moony, is Remy/Remmy.
